Nonprofit websites

Nonprofit websites that keep the mission moving.

Short answer

Amnibus designs and builds websites for nonprofits: fast, mobile-first sites with giving built in, that your staff can update themselves. Most launch in a few weeks, starting at $1,500 or $300 a month.

What a nonprofit website has to do

Your website is where a donor decides whether to give, a volunteer decides whether to sign up, and a partner decides whether you are still active. Most of those visits happen on a phone, often from a link in an email or a post. The site has to load quickly, say plainly what you do, and make the next step obvious.

What we build

New sites and redesigns, designed at phone size first and scaled up from there. Clear pages for your mission, programs and impact. A donation page that feels like part of the site rather than a detour. News and updates your staff can post themselves. If you have years of content, we move it over cleanly.

Some clients stop there. Others add an online store, a mobile app, or an internal tool that replaces the spreadsheet everyone is afraid to touch. You can see examples in our work, including Filter of Hope and Western Watersheds Project.

How it works

You send us your current website address and your email. Within a week we email you a mockup of what your homepage could look like and a quote. If it fits, we build, you review, and the new site launches. On a retainer we stay on afterward for updates, hosting and the operations questions that come up.

Questions

What people ask us.

How long does a nonprofit website take to build?
Most launch in weeks, not months. A small site can be live in two to three weeks once we have your content and photos. Larger sites with a store or years of content to move take longer, and we tell you how long before we start.
Can you redesign our existing site instead of starting over?
Yes. We can keep the content that works, carry over years of news and reports, and rebuild the design and structure around it.
Will our staff be able to update it?
Yes. Every site we build lets non-technical staff change words, photos and news themselves. We show you how, and we are there when you forget.
Do you write the content?
Where you want us to. We write new pages, tighten existing ones, or move your current content across as it is.
Do you only work with nonprofits?
Nonprofits and mission-driven organizations are our specialty. Most of our work is for charities, ministries and community organizations.
